Mother's Day

This past weekend was Mother's Day. I love Mother's Day. I love the days leading up to Mother's Day. The kids keep such great secrets about how they made something at school for me but they can't tell me what it is. For me the best gifts are those they make at school. I have a collection of school-made Mother's Day gifts I will cherish forever.

This is one of my favorites this year. Not because of what it says, although it it very sweet, but for the conversation we had later that night about the Word of Wisdom which then led to a conversation about prophets, revelation, and the Holy Ghost. That conversation became my favorite gift.

This one just made me laugh. Matt made a "Hats Off To Mom" book at school. Moms wear many hats...you get the idea. Matt wrote this regarding my job as a sanitation worker: "Zach, clean your room." They SHARE a room.

I have been waiting a long time for this one. Several of my friends have this necklace, or something similar to it, but I didn't want mine until all my kids were here. So finally, all my kids are here! It was a very special Mother's Day for me!

Ok, THIS is my favorite! Allie made this for me while she was visiting Aunt Jennifer. The kids were very excited that I wore this to church and you can't believe the number of compliments I got for this at church! I'll cherish it always!

The only thing that's missing is a picture of our family. We'll have to wait to next week - it was 50 degrees outside on Mother's Day!
