We have lived in suburban Philadelphia for 13 years and have really only ventured into the city a handful of times. After baseball season we finally had some down days to relax and enjoy. We took advantage of some beautiful summer days and ventured into the city.
The first day we had a fun lunch and delicious ice cream at Reading Terminal Market.
Took a stroll through LOVE park.
Sara was obviously not so fond of the water fountain
And finally made it over to the Philadelphia Temple site. There's a BIG hole in the ground with a lot of construction equipment and crew. We are expecting it to be completed in about 2 years! AWESOME!
The next day we went to Smith's Playground in Fairmount Park. A great park on a great day!
I was looking at the GPS on our way home and noticed we were really close to the Art Museum. So we decided to head on over. We first stopped and played in the fountains.
Took a picture with Rocky.
And ran up and down the "Rocky Steps" a few times.
What a great city!
