October Happenings

It seems that October was quite a busy month for the Joachim family.  We had quite an exciting beginning of the month with a trip to New York City and continued on with lots of other great adventures.

Zach turned 12!  That was certainly the highlight of the month.  This birthday was particularly special because he was ordained a Deacon.  He is such a great kid!  It was so great to watch him pass the Sacrament for the first time.  I couldn't wipe away the biggest smile or keep the tears from streaming down my face.

We made a quick trip to Strausburg, VA to celebrate Lauren's baptism.  We were thrilled to share this very special day with her.  She was so excited and these cousins sure loved being there to support her.  Cousins are awesome!

What would October be without a preschool field trip to a Pumpkin Patch?  Sara loved the hayride with her friends and picked out these perfect pumpkins to decorate.

And then there's Halloween!  I don't have any other Halloween pictures this year besides this one, taken at our ward's annual Trunk o' Treat party.  Allie was a fairy, Zach was Sheldon from "The Big Bang Theory", Matt was a soccer referee, and Sara was a witch.  Happy Halloween!
