This past weekend Tom and the kids were down in Washington, D.C. participating in Race for the Cure. This has become and annual tradition for the Joachim family. We run for Grandma Mangum, who died of breast cancer in 2005 and for Nana Joachim, a breast cancer survivor.

what a great tradition! Ours (in SLC) is the Saturday of Mothers Day weekend. We've wanted to participate with my family (for my great grandmother who fought breast cancer in her 80's) the last few years but haven't been able to - '10 is the year for us!

When I see this great crowd of supporters all together working toward find a cure, I truly believe that we can find that cure for my daughters, daughter-in-law and my three beautiful granddaughters. Thanks to our wonderful family for celebrating Grandma and Nana by running/walking with us! We love you all!
