World Series Champs

The World Series is over and life can get back to normal. The Phillies didn't win back-to-back titles but as Zach said, "they had a great season". It was a great baseball season and the kids had a blast. We were able to go to a few games and even sit in the box seats! Pretty cool!

I never thought I would be a baseball fan. But it's pretty hard not to be when your 2 sons are so passionate about it. Zach and Matt truly love the game, especially the Phillies. They know each player's number, home run and RBI stats (that's Runs Batted In for you rookies out there), pitcher's ERA's, and the list goes on. As a mother I often feel pure joy watching their beautiful blue eyes light up when they start talking baseball. Their joy is my joy. And I love them for that.

We have a lot to look forward to in the next 6 months like Christmas, more birthdays, and of course, a new baby. So, see you in the Spring, Phillies. GO PHILLIES!

  1. Ditto what Amy said! It is a joy and a wonder to see the boys so into the sport of baseball (specifically the Phillies). I have been amazed at how much they know about the game and about not only the Phillie players, but players from other teams. And not only is mommy now a fan, but they have their little sister routing for the Phillies. What a great memory. Love ya, G. Diane

  2. It's been an awesome couple of seasons for all the Joachims and as their great papa would say "Our Brave Lads" aka the Phillies. It's good to see the long and honored tradition of Joachim boys and beloved Phillies come to another generation! Spring Training is just around the corner! Love you all! Granma Michelle
